The MyPestGuide Suite

The MyPestGuide app is part of the Boosting Biosecurity Defences project, led by DAFWA and made possible by Royalties for Regions.

The app allows users to report pests such as insects, weeds, diseases and animals to the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA). Experts will identify your pest, reply back to your device and map it online.

MyPestGuide was developed with funds from the Royalties for Regions and Council of Grain Grower Organisations.

There is a MyPestGuide reporting tool for everyone

By using MyPestGuide you will be supporting your local community, defending Western Australia’s agriculture industry and protecting the natural environment from unusual, damaging or suspected exotic pests.

The information gathered by MyPestGuide will be used to infer Western Australia’s freedom from pests and diseases. Reporting any unfamiliar pests found in paddocks to pantries will protect our valuable environment and food and help maintain access to overseas trading markets thus sustaining our enviable standard of living and securing employment across the supply chain for many industries.

So, sign up and become a participant in the new monitoring and pest surveillance community today!

By doing this you can connect directly with the farming community, help improve on-farm biosecurity, have fun reporting and learn about species in your local area and have a great excuse to get outdoors.
