Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traineeship program

Our department can recruit and appoint Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainee candidates through the Public Sector Commission (PSC).

As a youth employment initiative for the sector, the PSC maintains a database of candidates 25 years of age or under, who are eager to start their career with a traineeship in any of the WA public sector agencies.

Please refer to the WA Jobs Board website for more information.

Internship program

Our department can host a final-year undergraduate, post-graduate or masters student to undertake work-based training through the Public Sector Commission.

The government internship program places high-calibre students in public sector agencies generally one day per week on an unpaid basis during semester two (July to November).

Please refer to the WA Jobs Board website for more information.
