Keynote Speaker
Global food marketing expert Professor David Hughes will address consumer driven food and drink trends that shape our future.
Professor Hughes is a renowned international speaker who follows emerging trends around food production, preparation and consumption. He will speak on topics including global food industry issues and opportunities, consumer trends, food packaging and preparation. His insights will inspire anyone in the food industry.
Guest Speaker
Associate Professor Christopher Vas from Murdoch University’s Singapore Centre for Research in Innovation Productivity and Technology (SCRIPT) will speak on smart urban farm factories.
Associate Professor Vas will outline some of the growing innovation and technology trends in agriculture and food security. In doing so, he will discuss new forms of urban farming (including potential vertical farms, aquaponics, hydroponics and closed loop) in the context of the Peel region and how Peel could position itself for this emergent growth.
