Damian Capp
My role in the department
Damian Capp is a Principal Policy Officer with the Farming Systems Innovation (FSI) directorate. FSI has an aim to contribute to the development of innovative and resilient farming systems to address challenges and capture opportunities for sustainability, profitability and growth.
His role includes analysing industry information relevant to research, development and extension policy.
My background
Damian is from a farming background and has worked Australia-wide in producer advocacy for 11 years in grain industry deregulation and restructuring, drought policy reform, regulation of biotechnology and rural economic policy. He was also on the 2017-18 review panel for the Gene Technology Act 2000.
