My role in the department
Adrian is completing a Master of Agricultural Science, specialising in soil science and plant nutrition at the University of Western Australia. Alongside his Masters, Adrian is working with the Department’s vegetable team researching irrigation efficiency and management of marginally saline irrigation water to assist with sustainable production on Australia’s vegetable farms.
My background
Adrian grew up on his family's farm in the south west of Western Australia where his passion for the agricultural and horticultural industries began from a very early age. Adrian completed a business degree from Murdoch University and combined these skills with his passion for horticulture to manage a large wholesale tree seedling nursery in Queensland. During this time, he is proud to have successfully established a significant mini-grafted macadamia tree program by applying thorough horticultural research methods on a continual basis. This new, faster propagation technique became widely recommended by Hort Innovation and the Australian Macadamia Society.
