My role in the department
As Director of Grains Research and Industry Development for the past 7 years, Kerry leads the team undertaking grains research and industry development to facilitate and enhance profitability across the supply chain in Western Australia. She also ensures high priority R&D is undertaken, working with major research partners including Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), overseeing the State Government's investments in InterGrain, the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC) and Grains Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA), and collaboration with universities, CSIRO, commercial companies, grower groups and the Grower Group Alliance (GGA), and other state agencies.
My background
Kerry has extensive experience in the WA Grains Industry. Throughout her more than 30 year career in agricultural research and industry development for cereal and pulse crops she has worked at DPIRD, the University of Western Australia and CSIRO.
