My role in the department
Dr Reeves' role as a biometrician at DPIRD involves collaborating with and supporting researchers through all stages of the research process, from the development of trial designs and protocols, the analysis of data, the presentation and interpretation of results, the development of analytical tools, to report writing and publication. She also supports researchers seeking to gain insights from historical datasets.
Her role supports primary industries in Western Australia by helping to ensure that research is well-targeted, research funds are used efficiently and that research outcomes can be relied upon.
My background
Dr Reeves has worked as a biometrician supporting agricultural research in Western Australia for more than eight years, including 2.5 years with the GRDC-funded SAGI-West node at Curtin University. She was a project biometrician on the national GRDC-funded Yield Response Curve (DAW00245), Frost Agronomy (DAW00241/DAW00260) and Soilborne Disease Interactions (DJP1970-002RTX) projects. She has extensive experience in supporting agricultural experimental research through trial design and the analysis of trial data, particularly in the areas of frost, plant pathology and soilborne diseases. Her recent work involves analysis and visualisation of monitoring data from the Western Australian pastoral rangelands.
