My role in the department

Ian is the the Field Research Manager for a project delivering technical services and equipment to research projects. Research teams are regionally based in Geraldton, Wongan Hills, Northam, Merredin, Katanning and Esperance. These teams allow the Agronomy, Genetic Improvement, Soil Productivity and Crop Protection programs to deliver world class research aimed at increasing sustainable production and improved profitability to the WA grains industry.

My background

Ian has more than 30 years experience in agricultural research and industry development of pulse crops in Australia at DPIRD. His experience combines a background in project management, grains/pulse research, development and communication and research administration.
