My role in the department
Andrew has over 18 years of experience as a regionally-based horticultural plant pathologist across several horticulture commodities, including both perennial and annual crops. Recently, he has been working on fungicide resistance projects in apples and grapes, investigating Colletotrichum spp. associated with citrus diseases and has several projects on powdery mildew diseases on a range of crops within Western Australian horticulture.

Andrew received his PhD in plant pathology from Murdoch University in 2019, studying the lifecycle and population biology of grapevine downy mildew, Plasmopara viticola, in Australian vineyards.
