The eConnected team has developed a new and improved weather web application.
It offers users better access to data from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s (DPIRD) 181 automated weather stations (AWS), the Bureau of Meterology's (BoM) 91 AWS and the six regional and coastal Doppler radars, including the three recently upgraded coastal radars at Albany, Geraldton and Esperance.
The latest website design work provides users with improved access to pertinent weather data, including graphs and charts on temperature, humidity, evaporation, solar exposure, sowing opportunities and fertiliser treatment.
Grainbelt growers, consultants and industry representatives will find enhanced functionality and usability when browsing the upgraded site, and the changes include a special feature – a localised dashboard for every weather station.
Other modifications include the enhanced look and feel of the website and a refined colour palette. The aesthetically appealing interface and look is based on previously received feedback.
Further feedback is still welcome and may be emailed to – econnectedgrainbelt@dpird.wa.gov.au.
