Use these business tools to assess your business, set specific and measurable goals and develop your unique selling position.

SWOT analysis

Take the time to analyse the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to your business (SWOT).

What are the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats your agrifood business may face now and into the future? Analyse your enterprise and the area you may need to work on.

Choose up to five examples in each category that will have the greatest impact on the success of your business.

Opportunities Threats

Threats are external factors that could adversely affect the success of your business. These are factors that you have little or no control over but you need to be prepared for them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Business values

When the values of a business are aligned with their clients, they are much more likely to achieve a deeper and longer lasting loyalty.

It is a good idea to look at your businesses core values, what characteristics you want to be communicating to clients and what experience you want them to have with your business.

Consider what your answer would be to the following questions:

  • What are your businesses core values (e.g. accountability, efficiency, hard work, service, etc.)?

 

  • What characteristics do you want to promote to your current and potential clients?

 

  • What will doing business with you be like for your customers?

 

  • What do you want your clients to experience when dealing with your business?
