Skeleton weed Management guide - Control Program 2019-20

Page last updated: Wednesday, 27 November 2019 - 12:23pm

Section 2 of the Skeleton weed Management Guide describes the requirements, treatments and options to manage Skeleton weed and its control in infested properties. To maintain the most up to date information for landholders, this section of the Skeleton weed Management Guide is reviewed annually.

Changes to 2019/20 program

Winter Spraying Program (winter treatment)

The Program now includes provision for Clopyralid (Lontrel™) herbicide to eligible landholders, to undertake their own spraying of paddocks that are greater than 10% infested (by area), and known as ‘Lontrel paddocks’.

Search Assistance Scheme

Code 2 paddocks (re-infestations)

The Program now includes “re-infested” Code 2 paddocks being eligible for search assistance in the season it becomes “re-infested”.

  • Previously re-infested Code 2 paddocks requiring a “surveillance search” by the landholder, were not eligible for assistance until the following year.
  • For the 2019/20 Program, Code 2 paddocks where plants are found and are therefore “re-infested paddocks” this season, will be eligible for search assistance.
