Smartphones are being trialled by Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development researchers to more effectively track and combat crop pests.
To provide an update to the Western Australian grains industry on surveillance for Russian wheat aphid (RWA) in WA and effective management should the pest be found in WA.
Small landholders, particularly those along the Great Eastern Highway corridor, are being asked to survey for a tiny aphid found in the Eastern States, which is a major pest of some grain crops.
