DPIRD proposes to amend the Regulations to address these issues and invites feedback on the proposed amendments. The majority of changes are administrative in nature. However, there are also a small number intended to enable the Department to be more responsive, particularly in relation to intra-state biosecurity matters.
A consultation draft of the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Regulations Amendment Regulations 2019 is attached for your reference, as well as consultation document which includes a summary of the proposed changes.
If you would like to provide a submission, you can do so online or through the post.
Online feedback should be lodged using the secure form on SurveyMonkey, available in the external links to the right. You can either submit your response within the survey itself, or attach a longer written submission.
Hard copy submissions can also be submitted. Please make sure you include your name, the company or organisation you represent (if applicable), postal address, email address and telephone number.
These should be addressed to:
BAM Regulations Consultation
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development
Locked Bag 4
Bentley Delivery Centre
The consultation closes on Friday 1 March 2019.
