Producers are reminded to sign up for the AgTactics newsletter published by the Department of Agriculture and Food with timely, relevant and practical information to support their decision making.
Department regional director Steve Porritt said separate editions of AgTactics were produced in the northern, central and southern agricultural regions to provide targeted, seasonal information relevant to grains and livestock industries.
“AgTactics is published regularly throughout the growing season when vital tactical information for growers to consider in their cropping and livestock production management plans,” Mr Porritt said.
“It pulls together key growing season issues identified by local agribusiness and growers and analysed by a range of department staff.
“The publication is focused on scientific and tactical information that could influence the decisions farmers will need to make over the next 7 to 10 days.
“Timely on-the-ground information is provided in addition to rainfall details for many locations across the State, graphing current rainfall against historical years.”
Mr Porritt said farmers could receive AgTactics by email.
Producers should get in touch with their local department office or email peter.robson@agric.wa.gov.au [1] to ensure they are included on the AgTactics distribution list.
