DPIRD Diagnostics and Laboratory Services (DDLS)

The DPIRD Diagnostics and Laboratory Services (DDLS) encompasses the DPIRD plant and animal laboratories (including aquatics).

DDLS provides effective and efficient laboratory capacity, policy input, research and testing for early diagnosis of notifiable diseases and verification for market access importation protocols for the state's agricultural, aquaculture and horticultural industries.

Our highly experienced diagnosticians and analysts operate under both nationally and internationally recognised accreditation bodies to ensure reliable and accurate laboratory results and services.

DDLS provides high-quality diagnostic and other laboratory services to internal and external clients via five functional areas:

Opening hours

Our normal operating hours are from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Closed on public holidays.
