Meet Crop Protection team member – Cindy Webster
Research agronomist Cindy Webster joined the department in 2006 and has been based at the Narrogin office ever since.
Raised on a mixed crop and livestock farm near Pingelly, Cindy now enjoys being able to take her own two children out to visit and learn on the family farm.
Cindy has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management (honours) from the University of Western Australia (UWA)
Over the years Cindy has worked on a range of projects including grains research trials, working with local grower groups and editing the former Department AgMemo and AgTactics newsletters. She has been the PestFacts WA editor since 2016 and is project lead for the PestFacts WA service. She is also project lead for DPIRD’s crop protection communications team and enjoys producing podcasts for DPIRD’s Grains Convo series, hosting webinars and working on other exciting extension projects.
When not at work, Cindy enjoys baking, reading, playing netball and travelling.
