Early stage ag-tech businesses wanting to take their enterprise to the next level are reminded to apply for Harvest Accelerator 2.0, with applications closing 13 August.
Following the success of the pilot program run earlier this year, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is supporting AgriStart to again offer this innovative accelerator program.
Delivered by industry experts, the program covers topics such as positioning for growth and investment, new technology, export strategies and agri partnerships, increasing income and pitch coaching.
Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Agribusiness and Food Investment lead Susan Hall said the program had been developed for companies with a product in market, looking to explore new opportunities to innovate, value add and scale up.
“The 12-week accelerator will provide participants with networking opportunities, workshops and field trips aimed at fostering innovation and developing their business skills,” Ms Hall said.
“This time we are excited to also offer a five-day intensive residential program to be held at the Muresk Institute.
“The program will cover the same topic but is designed for regional-based companies that cannot commit to travelling to Perth regularly.”
Both programs are available to Western Australia-based companies that;
- are working on innovations to help solve problems in agriculture
- need assistance to develop applications into business opportunities
- are looking for new partnerships, investment opportunities or market access
- want to build their knowledge and skill set to enable them to become investment ready.
Ms Hall said the program highlighted the department’s continued support for developing innovation in the regions and building the State’s emerging agtech community.
