Agrifood and fisheries business operators wanting to make their businesses ‘investor ready’ are invited to register for a series of free masterclasses which kick off in Geraldton and Busselton next month.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, in collaboration with consulting firm BDO, is hosting the masterclass series for business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs looking to maximise the value of their business.
DPIRD Investment General Manager Susan Hall said the classes aimed to assist businesses at any stage of growth, to understand investor readiness, and support advanced businesses on their capital raising journey.
“DPIRD’s 2020 Investor Readiness Masterclass Series is hosted over four sessions which will guide participants through key elements of becoming investor ready, along with the key considerations for executing the capital raising process successfully,” Ms Hall said.
“The masterclasses are suitable for those who are looking to maximise the value of their business, considering their succession plan and developing a business plan or looking for external investment to continue the growth of their business.
“We are offering these classes to participants free of charge.”
Ms Hall said the workshops were part of a broader program by DPIRD to support the growth and value-adding of agrifood businesses across WA.
The series kicks off in Busselton on 6 April and Geraldton on 20 April and participants must register.
