Primary Industries Development 2023 Research Trials Map

In 2023, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is conducting more than 250 research trials across the state. The trials map, which is produced annually, shows the department’s grains research trials from Kununurra to Esperance.

DPIRD research covers many facets of grains production from soil science and crop nutrition, crop protection, crop science to genetic improvement and farming systems innovation.

The map provides information on the location, theme of the trial as well as images from some of the trial locations.

The success of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development's trial series is made possible through a number of partnerships, including; Grains Research and Development Corporation, Centre for Crop and Disease Management, University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Murdoch University, South Australian Research and Development, New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, University of Queensland, Meat and Livestock Australia, WANTFA, SEPWA and CSIRO.
