My role in the department
Kaylie is responsible for managing the Frank Wise Institute for Agriculture, where she oversees farm management and upgrades to farm technology.
Kaylie is passionate about cover cropping and sustainable farming practices and is enhancing her skills by undertaking a Diploma in Agriculture at Murdoch University, which is near completion.
Currently Kaylie and her team are administrating safflower variety trails and seed increases. This team are often required to prepare land and undertake crop management which varies according to the current research being undertaken.
My background
Kaylie commenced with the Department as a Technical Officer in 2020. She also has vast experience with cattle and fencing, having worked previously on a cattle station.
