Development Officer (wheat and barley agronomy)
Georgia Trainor

My role in the department

I have been a development Officer with DPIRD since 2014. Both of the projects I work on are aimed at assisting grain growers make the best variety and agronomic decisions for their environment and farming system. I have produced a range of publications and extension material, including the Sowing Guides for wheat and barley. Other material I work on includes factsheets, the MyCrop app and a number of other web based tools and information pages.

I really enjoy knowing that the work I do helps growers make better decisions and in turn, contributes to a more profitable grains sector.
