Insect pests

  • Mediterranean fruit fly or Medfly (Ceratitis capitata)
  • Driedfruit beetles (Carpophilus spp.)
  • Citrus whitefly (Orchamoplatus citri )
  • Weevils
  • Red scale (Aonidiella aurantii)
  • San Jose scale (Diaspidiotus perniciosus).

Diseases

  • Leaf curl (Taphrina deformans)
  • Downy mildew of grapes (Plasmopara viticola)
  • Powdery mildew of apples (Podosphaera leucotricha)
  • Brown rot of stone fruit (Monilinia fructicola, M. laxa)
  • Apple scab (Venturia inaequalis).
