Global food trends with Professor David Hughes

Western Australian agrifood businesses will have the opportunity to hear insights from global food and drink industry international speaker Professor David Hughes, when he presents in Manjimup on Wednesday 8 March.

The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia’s (DAFWA) Food Industry Innovation Project, will host Professor Hughes at DAFWA's Manjimup Horticultural Research Institute (7km south of Manjimup on the South Western Highway). 

Professor Hughes will present on global food industry trends, food packaging, production and consumer trends. With his knowledge of global food issues and opportunities, Professor Hughes' presentation will provide timely, relevant insights for the industry.

World food trade is undergoing significant change and there is increasing demand from affluent Asian and Middle Eastern countries for safe, premium food products. The WA agrifood sector has significant opportunity for growth.
