Getting value from farm data networks

eConnected Grainbelt project is running a grower group forum on developments in farm data and technology.

Morning session open to all growers and agricultural consultants.

The forum features high calibre presenters, including: Chris Sounness, Chief Executive Officer, Birchip Cropping Group; Dr Brad Plunkett, Senior Economist, DPIRD; Associate Professor Leanne Wiseman, Griffith University, QLD; and Mike Ridout, Food Agility - Cooperative Research Centre, WA Node Leader, Curtin University.

Includes discussion on:

  • farm data cooperatives and the role for grower groups.
  • cooperatives - case studies and establishment opportunities.
  • principles and practices of data ownership and sharing in broadacre agriculture.
  • data analytics - applications in closed vs shared environments.

Afternoon session will be a closed session specifically for grower groups and participants involved in the eConnected Grainbelt project.

There is no admission fee.
