Relief packages are designed to assist in meeting the needs of primary producers whose assets or primary production business has/have been affected by a disaster for which the WANDRRA have been invoked.
Assistance is not provided as compensation for damage/losses sustained, or as a disincentive to self help by way of commercial insurance and/or other appropriate strategies of disaster mitigation. Support is offered on a needs basis.
The WANDRRA is administered by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The primary producer assistance measures are administered by the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) in conjunction with the OEM (telephone +61 (0)8 6551 4034 or +61 (0)8 6551 4035).
Further information is available from the Information notes in the documents section of this page.
