Pest controllers

As with termites, EHB is a now a potentially serious home pest in WA, and owners of homes built with untreated structural pinewood are becoming increasingly aware of the need for regular EHB pest inspections.

Additionally, it is likely pest controllers in the future will receive increasing questions about EHB issues, such as treatment options.

EHB inspections and advice should only be carried out by EHB accredited pest controllers.

A three hour online $75 training course about EHB has been developed with Challenger Institute of Technology. It will provide pest controllers and any other person who is interested with extensive knowledge of EHB.

Enrolling in the European house borer (Online) course can be done via the Challenger Institute of Technology website.  You can also contact the course coordinator directly on +61 (0)8 9229 8432 or email commercial.murdoch@challenger.wa.edu.au

Pest controllers are encouraged to improve their knowledge of EHB, including descriptions and signs of infestation.
