What you need to know
The eConnect+ team is acutely aware of the importance of being both mindful of users’ privacy concerns and simultaneously adhering to all relevant privacy requirements.
Importantly, the new Extrata Data Sharing Platform is aligned to the Australian Privacy Principles which apply to DPIRD.
The platform also recently received official Accreditation with the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre (FA-CRC) Best Practice Data Policy, announced in 2020, which has stringent requirements that were required to be adhered to.
The Extrata platform was the first to be accredited to the FA-CRC's Data Policy! Read more here.
Learn more about the FA-CRC's data policy and all the requirements by reading about the official Accreditation announcement. The announcement was made at the FA-CRC's May 2022 Webinar, where the department's eConnect+ Project Manager Darren Gibbon presented on Value Creation: Enabling Through Sharing.
See both the Data Breach Policy and the Privacy Policy that DPIRD adheres to for more information on these matters.
