My role in the department
I am a research officer at DPIRD working in the area of cereal pathology focusing on genetic improvement of yellow spot resistance in wheat. I screen and phenotype mapping populations with the purpose of identifying and mapping new resistance genes and thereby enhancing the germplasm for future breeding of yellow spot resistant wheat lines.
I completed a Master of Agriculture at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and have expanded on my agricultural research experience over the past 15 years while working with DPIRD. I have research experience in integrated disease management, large-scale disease screening and genetic improvement for the management of foliar diseases of wheat.
