My role in the department

I am a research officer at DPIRD working in the area of cereal pathology focusing on genetic improvement of yellow spot resistance in wheat. I screen and phenotype mapping populations with the purpose of identifying and mapping new resistance genes and thereby enhancing the germplasm for future breeding of yellow spot resistant wheat lines.

My background

I completed a Master of Agriculture at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and have expanded on my agricultural research experience over the past 15 years while working with DPIRD. I have research experience in integrated disease management, large-scale disease screening and genetic improvement for the management of foliar diseases of wheat.
