The barley agronomy project successfully submitted seven papers for the 2016 GRDC Research Updates.

Topics for the papers included seed rate and plant density work, observations on the interaction between variety, nitrogen and seed rate, Compass and La Trobe varietal comparisons, the effect of harvest delay on grain quality and information about the ways that this project has been evaluated against it's outcomes.

See below a list of the papers submitted.

How much is the seed rate (changing from 50 to 400 plants/m2) response of barley influenced by date of seeding? Blakely Paynter et al.

Compass and La Trobe: head to head from 25 to 400 plants/m2 at York in 2014 Blakely Paynter.

How much does seed rate (changing from 50 to 400 plants/m2) influence barley’s performance? Blakely Paynter et al.
