My role in the department
Dr Diggle is Science and Innovation Leader of “Disease epidemiology and management tools for Australian grain growers”, a national GRDC project led by DPIRD with the partnership of the South Australian Research and Development Institute, Department of Environment and Primary Industries Victoria, the University of Southern Queensland, the University of Western Australia, Marcroft Grains Pathology, and Curtin University. This project is improving the profitability and sustainability of crop production through improved decision making for management of disease. This is being accomplished through targeted epidemiology, development of predictive models, and development of tools to support disease management.
Dr Diggle has more than 30 years experience in agricultural research specialising in simulation and decision support for crop nutrition, and crop protection.
