

The Library began in 1894 when the department was formed and has an extensive collection on agriculture in Western Australia. It comprises a main library at the South Perth site and smaller libraries located in the department's country and metropolitan offices.
8.00 am - 4.30 pm - Monday to Friday
The library network primarily supports the work of the Department of Agriculture and Food, however the information resources in the Library can be accessed by members of the public.
Visitors are able to view items from the collection and to photocopy material for research or private study. There is a charge for photocopying.

FARMTI is a monthly bulletin which contains records of recent articles on world-wide agricultural extension of Australian interest.
Photocopies are available
The main collection is located at South Perth but smaller collections are held by all country centres. The collection includes books, serials, indexes, maps, newspapers, statistics, slides and some special material, such as film, photographs, slides and videos.
Most material is on open access on the shelves but a proportion is housed in another building. The location of an item is noted in the library catalogue. Ask at the enquiry desk if you need a title which is not available on the open shelves.

The Bunbury Librarian works part-time so the Bunbury Library is open Tuesdays 8 am - 4 pm, Thursdays 8 am - 2 pm and Fridays 8 am - 12 noon. Please make an appointment by calling (08) 9780 6279
