Growing Season Outlook

Climate Risks and Opportunities Project
The growing season outlook is produced in the second week of most months.  They provide a review of the current ENSO (El Niño southern oscillation) or Pacific indicators, local Australian indicators (Sea surface temperatures and pressures systems) and a three month rainfall outlook using DAFWA experimental ESS (ENSO Sequence System).  It also provides a summary of climate outlooks from a variety of sources.

The ESS (ENSO Sequence System) model is developed by Dr. David Stephens, Climate Risks and Opportunities Project, Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia.
