The Department of Agriculture's education program aims to promote awareness of the importance of agriculture to the Western Australian economy and to help teachers to use farming, food production and related topics as 'contexts' for student learning.
The program focuses on support for teachers in the form of advice, teachers' notes resources and links with useful organisations.
This website also contains teacher resources, information on all the major farming commodities in Western Australia, case studies that can be used by teachers and students as well as a range of links to other 'useful' websites and information on careers in agriculture.
All resources can be downloaded and used FREE of charge.
