Forage crops / Fodder conservation

This section includes sources of feed for livestock, other than pastures, which occupy a niche in some dryland farming systems of Western Australia. The information has been grouped as summer crops, winter crops and fodder conservation. Crops can be either utilised through direct grazing or conserved for use on-farm when there is shortage of feed, or for sale to diversify income.
