                          Overview

In September 2005, the legislative Assembly agreed to establish a Western Australian Biofuels Taskforce. The Biofuels Taskforce will consider issues that fall within its terms of reference, and its aim is to foster the development of a biofuels industry in Western Australia. On January 9, 2006, the Minister for Agriculture announced the membership of the Taskforce. The Taskforce members include Members of Parliament and representatives from the nine State Government departments.
