GrainGuard - canola industry in Western Australia
A Canola Industry Biosecurity Plan containing information on exotic diseases, insects and vertebrate pests has recently been updated.
The revised WA Canola Industry Biosecurity Plan identifies threats that are exotic to Western Australia but found in the Eastern States. It contains extensive lists of the exotic and key established threats to the canola industry. Tables of exotic threats include data on major hosts, entry, establishment and spread potential, economic impact as well as a total threat rating. The revised biosecurity plan also include the priority threats to the canola industry that already exist in WA.
Threats to the whole of Australia will be managed by Plant Health Australia's national biosecurity plans.
