                            Quick Links

Please select the appropriate calculator for your circumstance

Please Note: These calculators are for use in the green period only. They are not designed for sheep feeding on dry pasture.

                            Deferred Grazing Calculator

Deferred grazing is a tactic where stock are excluded from pasture areas to maximise germination and establishment of pasture seedlings.

                            Supplementary Feeding Calculator

Dry, Pregnant or Lactating Ewes (for green pasture early in the season)

Supplementary feeding is the additional supply of feed, usually grain, hay or silage, to animals grazing a pasture which may be lacking in energy or protein. For more details see Supplementary Feeding and How to condition score

This calculator was developed using the best available data for animal and pasture relationships for annual legume-based pastures.

The values for the animal requirements are taken from GrazFeed®.
Feed intake values were calculated using modifications for West Australian annual pastures based on work by Mike Hyder. MHyder@agric.wa.gov.au

                            Feed Cost Calculator

Work out the least cost of a number of feeds or work out the feed value of a chosen mix of feed. For more details see Calculating grain volumes and weights

For these calculators to work you must be on-line.
